Are you a trivia buff? Even if you aren't, you're sure to have fun at our Trivia Challenge so join us for an afternoon of laughter with friends, lunch and interesting facts. We'll test our skills in four different categories and award prizes to the top three people or teams with the most points. You can play on your own or play with a group of friends and form a team. No matter how you decide to play or whether or not you have random knowledge that's useful with trivia-style questions, the day is sure to be fun so why not try it? Trivia questions are different at each event so be sure to sign up more than once! Registration deadline is the Friday before.
Even if you aren't Italian, this is one party you won't want to miss. We're celebrating with a catered traditional Italian lunch and great entertainment by Edizon Dayao. Edizon's mix of popular Italian songs and other favorites will have us dancing the afternoon away. Of course we'll also have door and raffle prizes. So put on some red and spend the afternoon with friends for music, food and fun! Registration deadline is April 21.
We're celebrating the Sixties with a show full of fun songs and facts about the 1960s. Join your friends and entertainer Heather Braoudakis as we reminisce about this fun decade with her "Feelin' Goovy" show. We'll have a catered lunch and of course door & raffle prizes. Tune up your driving skills and drive more safely. Seniors 55+ with clean driving records may be able to get an insurance discount upon course completion. This is an eight-hour course and those registered are required to attend both days. Pre-registration is required. A $15 fee AARP member/$20 fee non-AARP member needs to be paid by check payable to AARP and brought to class the first day.
T'ai Chi for Health is a gentle, beautiful and flowing exercise routine that is a joy to do. Energizing and deeply relaxing, it brings health and vitality to all who practice it. The movements are all done naturally and gently. The gentle rocking motions and stretching movements improve circulation and digestion and reduce physical tension. The controlled breathing reduces stress and anxiety, helping calm the mind. It helps regulate heart rate and blood pressure, boosting energy. The exercises are very effective and easy to learn. Students may choose to sit or stand as needed, making this class suitable for all ages and abilities.
This hourlong class is specifically designed to provide the full benefit of yoga while being carefully modified for those with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and back injuries. The focus of the class is on improved breath and lung capacity; improved posture and core strength; joint flexibility and range of motion expansion, as well as moves that work the fitness level of our brains (and exercise our laughter muscles too)! Each class concludes with a short guided relaxation and meditation. Instructor Colleen Koziara has more than 15 years of experience in the senior healthcare industry and is certified in gentle, chair and modified yoga.
That's right! You will learn to paint using coffee to make a variety of values in your painting. Select an image to work from (landscapes, flowers, birds, etc.). Open to all skill levels. All supplies are provided.
Bring your lunch and join this group of gamers for a few hours of fun. We'll play a variety of games like Bunco, LCR, Jenga and more! This will be a great time to socialize, meet new friends and maybe learn a new game you've never tried before.
