Wisconsin Barn Quilts & Back Road Farms Tour - RP20306

While barn quilts are not meant to keep anyone warm they do generate warm feelings among those who see them. A fairly recent phenomenon, there is a growing number of people interested in seeing them and learning about barn history. Don't miss this unique opportunity to head to Walworth County (the Lake Geneva area) where we'll spend the day viewing barn quilts, visiting a dairy farm, having lunch at Sperino's and being entertained by Tom Laughlin whose series "American Barn Stories" appears on PBS stations across America. He has given a number of presentations in the area about Midwestern barns. Our day may also include a stop at the Apple Barn, a seasonal country retail shop and Doug Amon's farm featuring over 400 rose bushes (time and weather permitting). Fee includes transportation, lunch, tour guide and all stops. You'll want to bring a camera to capture these amazing barn quilts! Registration deadline is April 1.

Once - RP20402

He was a singer about to give up his dream. She was a patron entranced by his music. It was a fateful meeting spurred by their shared love for music. Guy and Girl, as they’re known throughout the show, begin their relationship when he tells her of his day job as a vacuum cleaner repairman at his father’s shop. When she asks him to fix her vacuum, she says she can only pay for the repair with a song. That song is all it takes for Guy and Girl to fall in love, but with that love also comes some baggage. Guy has an ex he can’t get out of his head, and Girl has an estranged husband and a daughter. What’s holding them back couldn’t be heavier, but when it comes to love, the only thing that can stop them is life. Once is based on the Oscar-winning movie and is an eight-time Tony Award-winning musical, including Best Musical, Best Actor and Best Book. Fee includes transportation and ticket to the show at Paramount Theatre. Registration deadline is April 10.
